How To Avoid Cancer: 3 Cancer Prevention Tips That Could Save Your Life
Nobody wants to hear that they have the Big C. Luckily, there are ways on how to avoid the Big C or at least, significantly decrease your chances of having one.
It’s as they say… prevention is better than cure. If you want to know how to avoid cancer, read on!
Tip # 1: Look at Your Family History.
If you’re concerned about having cancer, you’d best take a good look at your family history. Do you have any relatives who have had cancer? What kind of cancer or cancers do you have to contend with? Look at both your mother’s side and your father’s side of the family.
Cancer can be passed down from generation to generation. If there is a family history of canker, then you at least know what kind of cancer might pose a risk on your health and take active steps towards preventing it.
Tip # 2: Eat Right.
One helpful way to avoid cancer is to eat right. If you feel susceptible to cancer, try to minimize eating white rice and white pasta. Instead, join the club and start chowing on whole grain stuff which contains a lot of antioxidants and which in turn help prevent cancer. Tomatoes, grapes and dark leafy vegetables also have a reputation for being rich sources of antioxidants.
Tip # 3: Quit Your Vices.
If you’re really serious about avoiding cancer, then you should start quitting your vices. Smoking, for example, is one of the most notorious causes of cancer.
It might seem impossible to stop smoking after 10 years of the nicotine habit, but anybody will tell you that it’s a whole lot tougher to suffer through cancer. I have no doubt which one you’d rather experience.
There is no certainty in life. You could be perfectly healthy one day and ridden with cancer the next. However, if we can do something to avoid cancer, then we’d be fools not to do it.
